meet Jennifer

I’m Jennifer Hershon, founder of The Estrangement Coach, where I support parents as they navigate the grief, uncertainty, and emotional aftermath of family estrangement.

My path to this work began long before coaching. With a background in nursing and healthcare leadership, I spent years supporting people through complex and deeply human circumstances. Later, when estrangement entered my own life, I came to understand the particular grief of loving someone who is still living, but no longer present in your life.

That experience changed the direction of my work.

Today, I support parents navigating estrangement with compassion, honesty, and practical tools for rebuilding steadiness and self-trust. My coaching is grounded in the understanding that healing does not require denying the loss, assigning blame, or forcing reconciliation. It begins by helping you find your footing again inside a life that has changed.

I hold a Master of Science in Nursing and am a Registered Nurse. I am also trained in emotional trauma and resilience coaching, mindset coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Time Line Therapy, hypnotherapy, and Mindset Dimensions. I have trained with Dr. Joshua Coleman and facilitated estrangement support groups for more than six years.

My work is not therapy. It is a grounded coaching relationship for parents who are ready to move beyond survival mode and begin living forward with greater clarity, resilience, and self-trust.

Ready to Begin?

If estrangement has left you feeling unsteady, isolated, or unsure of what comes next, coaching can offer a grounded place to begin finding your footing again.
